Welcome to Boulder
Talk about being committed to green – the folks in Boulder are. Ranking in the top five in every list of the nation’s greenest cities, Boulder began preserving parkland in 1898 and permits no new water meters above a certain elevation. That prevents overbuilding and alleviates the erosion and other environmental damage that often accompanies it. Thus, when you cast your eyes upon the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, which rise from Boulder’s back yards, you’ll see ridges, not roofs. Of course with so many hiking, biking and backpacking trails; world-class climbing, fishing and kayaking, it’s pretty easy to have conservation on your mind.
